Pokeball Hair Clip

As Comic Con was coming around the corner, I started brainstorming ideas for my cosplay. After deciding to go as a Pokemon trainer, I began assembling the items I would need. That was when I decided to make a Pokeball flower hair clip. It was extremely basic and only took about fifteen minutes, perfect for a throw together costume. And it gives a subtle nerdy touch to any outfit.

You only need five things to make this chic flower; a red and a black permanent marker, a fake flower, a hair clip, glue gun, and a brad fastener. Start by taking the flower apart and begin coloring the petals. I used permanent markers to color the petals because, well, I was being a little lazy. :) It seemed to be the easiest and it looked good but you could use whatever you wanted to color the petals. After I colored the petals, I put the brad in place of the flower middle. I chose a pearl brad to give it a fancier look. Following placing the brad, glue it into place on the hair clip. AAND, you’re done. Seriously, that’s it. I was happy with how it turned out, it looks great. I even received compliments on it from friends who didn’t know it was based off a Pokeball. So have fun making your own flower to show off your nerdy pride!
